Chef Patti

Patti Garland is a masterful Ayurvedic chef. She has been an advocate of eating organic food since 1985 and a practitioner of Ayurveda since 1995. Her teaching draws on her good fortune to have worked as the Kitchen Director of the Maharishi Ayurveda Clinic in Pacific Palisades, CA. When you enjoy her recipes, you can actually feel your being going into balance. Many people have exclaimed – the way she combines ingredients is uniquely powerful and delicious.

In 2003 – ’04 she was co-owner and kitchen executive at Earth Mothers cafe in Chicago. Enjoy a one minute Earth Mothers video. Today, Patti is a teacher, consultant, private chef and gardener.

In 2005, Patti was invited to be executive chef for the year's annual NAMA (National Ayurvedic Medical Association) conference held in Las Vegas. The group's thank-you was a standing ovation in her honor. In 2008, she was executive chef for both SYTAR (second annual IAYT Symposium on Yoga Therapy and Research) held in L.A. and NAMA, this time in Chicago.

2008 – This summer's special project was to head the creation of a 500 sq. ft. raised bed organic vegetable and fruit garden in Indian Wells, California. In its second planting right now, Turleybird Gardens is a wonder.

Patti is available to come to your home and teach you how to prepare your favorite dishes, set-up your spice pantry, make ghee, and easily incorporate Vedic meal planning into your daily life. Pricing for services is determined following a free consultation. We discuss your dietary and lifestyle needs, meal preferences and build a personalized menu & cooking schedule.
